Makarau Farm Cottage Restoration
This project involved the full restoration of a severely weathered timber weatherboard cottage with widespread paint failure and established rot in the joinery. We completely removed the failing paint system, carried out specialist rot treatment and repairs, and sealed and reglazed the timber joinery. Weatherboards and decking were carefully restored and refinished.
The result is a structurally sound, beautifully revived cottage finished to a premium standard and protected for years to come.
I've finally managed to get up to the house and see the paintwork in its finished state. Lovely! It must have been a long and somewhat tedious job for your team with all the weather delays and the requirements for various timber improvements. I think the colours have worked out very well, and the decks look especially good with that pale blue/grey colour, better than the previous white which was overly dazzling to the eye in the summer sun.
