Mangawhai Strawbale Home Paint Restoration | Natural & Clay-Based Finishes
This Mangawhai strawbale home, built and painted by the clients with homemade clay and lime paints, was experiencing lime dusting on contact. Working with Limewave.co.nz, we applied methyl cellulose over the existing walls, stabilising the surface while keeping the original pigments intact.
We also repainted areas where the client had attempted natural paint mixtures that were dusting, using Natural Paint Co products to create a durable, safe finish. The result preserves the home’s eco-friendly, handcrafted character while ensuring a clean, practical surface.
